⚠️ Only UCSF P1-P2 data ("research using public data sets") is allowed on the Wynton cluster as of 2026-01-30.
⚠️ Please note that the Wynton HPC service is being phased out as part of the Wynton Transition project and is scheduled to retire in early March, 2027. New research projects should generally use the newer FAC and CoreHPC environment instead. ⚠️
Wynton HPC has 61 GPU nodes with a total of 235 GPUs available to all users. Among these, 39 GPU nodes, with a total of 147 GPUs, were contributed by different research groups. GPU jobs are limited to 2 hours in length when run on GPUs not contributed by the running user’s lab. In contrast, contributors are not limited to 2-hour GPU jobs on nodes they contributed. There is also one GPU development node that is available to all users.
The table below shows which labs have access to dedicated Graphical Processing Unit (GPU) compute nodes and how many.
